Port Moresby, Capital of PNG

Port Moresby is the capital and the largest city of Papua New Guinea (PNG). This city is located on the Eastern Shores of the Gulf of Papua, on the southwestern pacific ocean. The area of the city is 240 square km. This city was established in 1874 and PNG got independence in 1975.

Port Moresby is the highest densely populated city in the country, 1700/square km. This city has a university named University of Papua New Guinea which was founded in 1965, a coastal port and an international airport. The population of Papua New Guinea is 7.1 million and GDP (PPP) is $30 billion in 2017.
